Design Consultant
Micah Winkelstein is a licensed architect with more than 23 years of experience in residential design and remodeling, including 18 years as a licensed architect in California. As part of Marrokal’s design team, he brings an architectural perspective to the design-build process, helping homeowners clearly visualize what is possible and guiding them through the transformation of their homes.
Micah earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kennesaw State University and has spent his career focused on residential architecture and design. Early in his career he worked with respected architecture firms including Shubin + Donaldson, Wallace Cunningham, and B3 Architects, where he developed a strong foundation in thoughtful design, technical precision, and attention to detail.
With a deep understanding of construction methods and building codes, Micah combines design creativity with strong technical knowledge to help clients make informed decisions throughout the remodeling process. His architectural training allows him to approach projects holistically, ensuring that beauty, functionality, and long-term value are considered from the earliest stages of design. He especially enjoys working on whole home transformations, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and projects that enhance indoor-outdoor living.
Micah works closely with Marrokal’s design and drafting team to help translate ideas into clear visual concepts, allowing homeowners to better understand the possibilities for their homes and feel confident throughout the design process. His collaborative approach and attention to detail help ensure that projects move smoothly from concept through construction.
Outside of work, Micah enjoys playing tennis, spending time with his family and supporting his children’s activities, and playing drums.
